The New Deal was a series of laws and programs created by president Roosevelt. The First Hundred Days was the initial action towards solving the evident problems of the Great Depression. "Instead of planning two and a half years ago to do what they are now trying to do, [Congress] kept putting it off from day to day, week to week, and month to month, until the conscience of America demanded action." - Franklin D. Roosevelt. Roosevelt was tired of leaders not taking action, so action he took. His vision for the country was the New Deal.
